Starly adapt to nearly any environment, becoming commonplace in many regions. This is partially due to their versatile diet; Starly can eat a wide variety of berries and fruit just as well as Bug-Types.

Staravia will do nearly anything to protect their nests. If Staravia detects a snake in the grass, they will take one wing and trail it along the ground as if it were broken. This leads the predators away from their eggs and right into an ambush.

Although powerful, Staraptor don’t protect others of their own kind or attempt to breed. Instead their role within the species seems to be defending Starly territory when the flock has migrated away.
